Within Work Package 5 of the Erasmus+ TRANSITION Project, two public conferences will be held at the University of Zakho and the University of Sulaimani to address the protection and preservation of cultural heritage.

The first conference, entitled “Risk Management for Cultural Heritage and Cultural Heritage at Risk”, will take place at the University of Zakho on November 2, 2026.

The second conference, entitled “Protection and Preservation of Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage and Cultural Rights”, will be held at the University of Sulaimani on November 4, 2026.

Both conferences aim to bring together university representatives, heritage institutions, government bodies, national and international organisations, minority communities, and civil society to discuss issues related to cultural heritage protection and preservation.
